BGKO is an international ensemble of musicians based in Barcelona which has become a reference in the new wave of traditional music.
Their genuine reinterpretations of traditional music from the Balkans, the Middle East and the Mediterranean shores attract crowds of all ages and ethnicities.

With an ever growing fan base on social media, 100M views and more than 180k subscribers on You Tube, and hundreds of concerts performed, the band celebrated its 10th year of existence in 2022, with the energy and fresh perspective that lead singer Margherita Abita brought in 2019.

The unique and contemporary sound of BGKO comes, from their passionate and relent­less exploration of sounds and timbres from the romani, klezmer, balkan and medite­rranean music. With a trademark sound thanks to the-immensely different artistic in­fluences of its members, BGKO is always eager to investigate new sounds and territories.
