Founded in 1988, The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra is Britain's leading jazz age band that recreates the glamour of the Golden Age of popular music, the 1920's to 40’s.
Some of their highlights include performing for the Lord Mayor of London and the 150th Anniversary Ball for The Hurlingham Club, special BAFTA awards' parties for Julie Andrews and Sean Connery, Earl Spencer's 30. Birthday Party (where Princess Diana asked the orchestra to play In The Mood - twice!), Sir John Paul Getty (60th and 70th birthday parties and a ball at Clarence House where Dame Margaret Thatcher led the dancing), Sir Terence Conran (70th birthday party.
PDO's recordings have recently been chosen for the soundtracks of CSI, Gotham as well as an award-winning documentary about Stanley Kubrick…
