About Me
Hello, I’m (Zeynep) Özlem Baş — the founder of Oz Productions, an international performing arts and corporate entertainment company creating cultural experiences across the globe for more than 27 years.

My journey began in Istanbul, where I built a strong foundation in the hospitality and tourism industry, eventually becoming Guest Communications Manager at the Grand Hyatt Regency Istanbul. Delivered trainings across all departments in guest relations, communication, handling guest complaints, and ensuring smooth operations which gave me invaluable skills that still shape how I approach events today: with care, precision, and a focus on people.

A turning point came when I was mentored by Aydın Gün, the renowned opera singer, director as well as the  founder of the Istanbul State Opera, International Istanbul Festival and the Biennale. With his guidance, I stepped into the world of the arts, serving as Assistant Artistic Director of the International Yapı Kredi Festival and helping launch the first International Vocal Competition which dedicated to international soprano Leyla Gencer (
La Diva Turca). This experience revealed to me the transformative power of cultural projects.

In 1998, I founded Oz Productions in London, combining my background in hospitality, arts, and media. Since then, I’ve curated and produced concerts, shows, and cross-cultural projects in nearly 30 countries, at venues including the Sydney Opera House, Hong Kong Festival, Athens Festival, Singapore Esplanade, Palais des Beaux-Arts Brussels, Philharmonie Essen, Cairo Opera House and the Edinburgh Festival.
I also served as Guest Vice-President International of the Bangkok International Festival of Dance and Music, where I continue to collaborate today.

My work often goes beyond production. I’ve served as a music consultant for documentaries a
nd cultural programs, and I’ve also collaborated with institutions like the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul, developing diverse programming and even reviving archival works for performance.

I’m especially passionate about projects that bring cultures together. One close to my heart is Songs of Love and Longing from Both Sides of the Aegean, a Turkish–Greek collaboration exploring our shared musical heritage which I produced and realised its debut in Istanbul.

I also perform Rumi’s poetry recitations alongside Turkish Sufi music at festivals worldwide, weaving poetry and music into shared human stories. Sufi Music with Poetry

I also perform Rumi’s poetry recitations alongside Turkish Sufi music at festivals worldwide, weaving poetry and music into shared human stories.

Today, I continue to manage a portfolio of international artists, develop new tours, and build projects that connect audiences through music, art, and unforgettable live experiences.
In addition to my own portfolio, I run several independent projects and tours worldwide.
At the center of it all is my belief that art and events have the power to inspire, unite, and transform.

I’d love to connect and explore how we can create something meaningful together.
