DANZART
The dance company Danzart was founded in 2013 by award-winning dancer and choreographer Selene Mufioz, who is internationally known for her productions that combine the art of flamenco with contemporary art.

Danzart is dedicated to dance productions and artistic projects with the purpose to explore fundamental themes of human life and relevant issues of today's modern society, challenging and entertaining the audience through awakening and exciting dance and musical performances. Some of the most crucial and recurrent themes that Danzart shines a spotlight on are contrasts; including the aesthetic matter of elegance and raw wildness as two opposing elements represented in the self-same production or character. Likewise, the productions are known for their sensuality and force.

A very strong focus of Danzart is the aim to integrate the aspect of music with dance; thus musicality plays a great part in Danzart's productions. In the light of this important aspect, Danzart focuses on artistic collaborations with some of the world's best musicians. Every musician in each production is carefully selected and hand-picked based on several criteria to match the essence of the Danzart's artistic style. Among other things, these include intensity, precision and a strong sense of rhythm.

All of Danzart's productions and performances are noted for their fascinating fusion of musicality, costume design and artistic collaborations across cultures.
Often interplaying with the musicians, Selene Mufioz is also a musician in many of her own performances.
