Quinteto Revolucionario is considered the most important group in the world currently interpreting Astor Piazzolla's music by the critics and experts.

In 2019 they won "Best Tango Album" at Latin Grammys with the album "Revolucionario".
In 2021 they received a nomination for “Best Tango Album” at the Latin Grammys for their album "100 Años”, which was a tribute to the centenary of Astor Piazzolla's birth.

They gave various concerts as part of the "100 Años/100 Years" centenary celebrations of Piazzola’s birth in Argentina.
One of the highlights was the Quintet's participating in the closing of the Piazzolla Centenary by invitation in March 2022.
The concert took place at Luna Park in Buenos Aires which is an emblematic location where "Balada para un loco" was premiered.
The event was with free admission and brought together about 10,000 people in addition to the online broadcast.
In continuation to celebrations, their other performances last year included concerts in Mar del Plata, Astor's hometown, during the Piazzolla Week at the Teatro Colón, convened by the Ministry of Culture of Argentina.

They were also part of the joint television broadcast of the celebrations for the 50 years of the diplomatic relationship between the Republic of China and Argentina.

Quinteto Revolucionario is also the sole musical ensemble officially endorsed by the Astor Piazzolla Foundation.
